Introducing the Worry Doctor®
Christine Nicholson, Ph.D., known to her patients as the "Worry Doctor," has helped more than a thousand children, teens and adults face life's challenges and conquer their fears. She has helped individuals and families become more self aware and communicative, allowing for positive growth and healthy relationships.
Dr. Nicholson is a mother, a dual career wife, a recent grandmother and a past step-mother and single parent, as well as a licensed school and clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of adolescent girls. Dr. Nicholson studied at the University of Michigan and San Francisco State University and received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of New Mexico. She holds additional certification in special education, educational diagnostics, and mediation. She had an established private practice for 25 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. More recently Dr. Nicholson had a private practice in Sequim, Washington and worked as a school psychologist for the Sequim School District. She has now permanently relocated to Kirkland, Washington where she has a private practice as a Counseling Psychologist and is accepting new patients.
Dr. Nicholson has multi-cultural experience working with adults and children in the inner city in Detroit, Chinatown in San Francisco, Hispanic neighborhoods of Albuquerque and rural pueblos throughout New Mexico. She has worked with socially and economically diverse student populations in special and regular education programs in the public schools and in prestigious private schools.
